What is your body telling you? Are you listening? It’s time for Pilates!
Left-handed with two left feet, I never thought I’d move into a career in movement. I like being active but I’m not a dancer, gymnast or superstar athlete. I’m more of a thinker and a listener that likes to keep moving. Naturally I was hooked on Pilates after I started at Retrofit 12 years ago – it was the brain AND body challenge I needed. After a successful career as a TV executive I jumped into Retrofit’s teacher training program and began to enjoy a lifestyle with more Pilates and less tv. Fast forward to 2017 and I am a Retrofit Instructor with a passion for all things Pilates.
As a thinker, my brain is likely the most talented part of my body. It never liked the gym much, but Pilates makes it light up and connect to my body to make movement feel fluid and amazing. As a listener, I love to observe and take in information. My body informs me of its strengths and limitations, its good habits and its bad ones, what’s working and what is not. Pilates brings these into balance.
Pilates is exercise for the “thinking” man or woman and movement is the language our bodies speak.
What is your body telling you? Are you listening? Whether you are an active octogenarian, a young hockey star or a rusty golfer with a bad hook, Pilates can benefit every body both physically and mentally. Let me help you discover what your body is telling you!
